Hi, I have the trial version of PS CC for 30 days, everything is working correct, it's only when I click on Lightning effects that they say about not enough RAM.
I have updated my HD Card driver (Intel®HDGraphics2500orIntel®HDGraphics) and have 4GB RAM, I have gone to preferences performance to up what PS needs of RAM etc but still doesn't work?
It worked perfect on my CS3 version before installing PS CC?
I am running windows 8.1, any help would be appreciated,Many thanks Lance.

What is the EXACT message it gives you?
Is it telling you that you can't use 3D features (like Lighting Effects) because you don't have enough VRAM on your video card?

When starting PS CC 2015 on my older Windows 7 computer, I get a message about 3D effects not working (tree, flame, etc) due to having less than 512MB of video memory, but Lighting Effects is not mentioned and does work as long as Use Graphics Acceleration is on, but setting my Graphics Acceleration level to Basic makes Light Effects more responsive because less GPU is being used for other things, I guess.

Thanks Chris and Steve for your replies.

It says
" The 3d features require that 'use graphic processor' is enabled in the performance preferences.Your video card must meet the minimum requirements and you may need to check that your driver is working correctly."

Then when I click ok on that, I get,
"Could not apply the workspace, because there is not enough memory RAM"

That's odd. My guess is some OS routine is giving a bogus error.
Can you check the PSErrorLog.txt file in your Photoshop preferences folder? That might give some information (or might not) about the location of the error.

Is that the history Log? Under preferences.

No, it is a file, in your Photoshop preferences folder, on your computer's hard disk.

I think I found it, it said something about not migrating??? But not sure if I am in the right place LOL..
Should I reinstall the whole program?

Er, what? The PSErrorLog.txt file just lists recent program error information (so we can track down problems).

Reinstalling the application might help, since the problem could be due to a missing resource (view, icon, font, etc.).

Hi I have just installed the Trial version of PS CS6 64 Bit and the lightening effect works fine?
Does Creative cloud offer a payment plan for this early software please??
