Not able to open/use Lightroom Creative Cloud offline unless I log on first.

Despite the assertation that Lightroom CC can be used in offline mode for up to 30 days I have encountered problems getting the program to open UNLESS I'm connected to the web THEN switch to work offline which means when I'm shooting (tethered capture) on location I can't use the program unless there's wi-fi available.

The "Continue Working Offline" tab has only appeared once, and that was after I'd connected to wi-fi then disconnected. How do I open the program offline? If I try I only get a warning that I'm offline and to retry.

Please help! I'm desperate!

Heidi,

That isn't normal behavior. I have a machine that has been offline for 60 days right now and is still working. Annual subscribers should be able to work 90+ days.

What version of Lightroom are you using? Go to Help>System Info... to find your exact version.

Please include your Platform, OS version and other system particulars when you respond and we will see if we can figure out what is stuck on your system.

Rick:

Spent two hours on the phone then an hour on chat line with Adobe. The problem SEEMED to be with permissions. I had to grant read/write permission to all users and administrators. She walked me through it. It then appeared to work (she waited while I quit CC then re-opened it. The option to conitue working online was available. HOWEVER, after I disconnected with her I shut the computer down and when I restarted I'm getting the same "No internet Connection" warning as before with no option to work offline.
I have the latest 2015 CC versions and Yosemite 10.10.4 This is beyond frustrating.

So basically my problem is the same as before, if I'm online then go offline (even if I quit the program) the program still works but I can't open the program offline upon start up.

Try this. Create a new Admin user account: http://blogs.adobe.com/crawlspace/201...

While running in the new Admin account sign out and back into the Creative Cloud app: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud...

Then launch Lightroom from the new user account. Restart the computer using the new user account. Unplug from the net. Does it work correctly?
