Not able to load pics from Lightroom to Photoshop...

So when I'm done editing a pic in Lightroom, I'll right click the image and select "Edit in Photoshop CC 2018". Normally the image would load in Photoshop and I would be able to edit without any issues. Now I get this screen that pops-up:
I know it wants me to find the file and load it, but before it would just load in my normal PS workspace. If I do try to find it in the pics folder that I keep the pics in, the adjustments that I made in LR won't be there. This is a new phenomenon. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?  Using LR Classic and PS CC 2018 on a MAC

That's very strange. I have the same programs, it it works great for me. I assume you have looked at Lightroom Preferences : External Editing? Perhaps resetting preferences in Lightroom might fix it?

Oh, is Photoshop 2018 already running? Try launching it first if not.

Hey Alan,
Honestly I didn't know how to / or even think of resetting the LR settings like that. Was fumbling around with PS settings and other LR settings. I did the reset as the link noted and problem solved.
Thank you, and happy holidays.

It would seem your LR has the preview and an old address for the original picture.  In LR, click on the picture and select "Show in Finder."  It probably says that it's unable to locate the original and then asks if you want to find the original.  Go ahead and try to find the original so that you can reconnect your LR catalog with your files.

Hope it works for you.

Now when you send it to PS directly from LR your LR adjustments will go along.  Doing it the way you're doing it will edit your original in place which may change the original.  Using my suggestion first will preserve your originals by going directly from LR to PS.
