Photoshop: No JPEG preview for .eps Files

I am the photographer for a catalog company. There is a very complicated process set up here in which all photos I take enter our system. From here they are pushed to print or web uses. The web team has a script that takes these images and reformats them for our website.

All worked well until we updated from CS2 to CS6. We save all images as .eps files. Unfortunately, there is no longer an option for jpeg preview (only tiff). We noticed that this is having a major impact on the way our images are displayed on the web. I don't know if this is a bug or what, but it is certainly problematic for us. Thanks.

Your EPS images have nothing to do with the web.
Web browsers cannot display EPS.

And no, it is not a bug -- MacOS support for some of those options went away, and thus had to be removed from our file format support.
