Did you upgrade from LR3?

What type of video files do you have?

Yes, upgraded from LR3. All MPG and MOV files that used to work properly in LR3 have no sound in LR4. The files play properly using other software, but something happened in LR4 to cause the audio in video files to not work.

OK, these are containers, but what codec are there? Or, at least, what cameras did produce the files?

Do you have Dolby 5.1 sound tracks in these files?

What OS?

What Lr version?

The files worked on my computer, then stopped when I upgraded to LS4. Everything else stayed the same. Therefore, it really does not matter what produced the file, LS4 has a bug.

Lightroom 4 video support engine is not an evolution of LR3's, but rather a completely new version. And I am not even sure that Lightroom 4's video support is supposed to be backward compatible with Lr 3's.

Hence, it could actually matter what files are those.
