No PRESETS tab under preferences

I am new so have watched several videos and read several directions on how to get presets that I have purchased, into lightroom...they all have stated to go under Edit (due to being on a PC) and presets tab will then be under Preferences but my preferences tab does not even show a Presets tab, or a lot, compared to all of these videos I have been seeing....

But I am desperate to get these presets and quick due to needing to edit some pics ASAP
Please help :)

I'm not a LR guru to help you much, but LR CC is a very different animal from LR Classic, and I suspect you've been watching videos from LR Classic. I'd suggest you watch Anthony Morganti's "LR CC (Lightroom in the CLoud)" series (note—not his earlier LR videos, but quite recent, before the name change madness) on YouTube. Here's a link to the full series if the link works. Towards the bottom of the list he has one on transferring 3rd party presets and profiles.

I am still having diffulties locating information on how to get Presets into LR CC - I watched those videos and it showed how to import pictures into the LR CC but not how to get my presets into LR in general :(

Learn Lightroom CC (Lightroom in the Cloud) - 16: Transferring 3rd Party Presets & Profiles

He does show it in this video. You have to get your presets into the folder he describes, depending upon Mac or Windows. I just copied my presets and profiles into that ImportedSettings folder from the Settings folder, which also works, and LR CC knows if I've already imported it or not.

Take a look at the entire video. He talks about if you've imported to LR Classic CC  first, but goes on to show you where to look for the files, and as I said, those folders have been amenable to just copying your xmp presets over. If they're not .xmp, but the older LR Classic lrtemplate format, I don't know how you'll convert them. I'm sure someone else does.

So I just found some Presets I'd never loaded before. They didn't come in well, in the sense that they came in as code for names, but they work. 100 that I copied from another computer to the Settings Folder in the Camera Raw folder on this computer. I chose Import Presets from the Presets panel, not from the main menu. It seemed easier. I navigated to where I'd just copied those presets, and they loaded quickly and are all their under user Presets. Sadly, they were in a folder, and that folder wasn't preserved, anymore than their given names were. But they're there and I can hover over and see the change to my photo. So I know this does work.

Patience. <s>
