No Pictures shown in Lightroom catalog

I have two users on my Mac, one admin and the other only user. They use the same Catalog. While working with the admin, LR shows only grey squares but no pictures. When I click on the square, the picture opens as usual. With the other user everything works perfect.
I contacted Adobe and they told me, that I have to make a new catalog for the Admin-User and import all the pictures again there. This is a lot of work for a thing that used to work perfectly until LR 2015.1...

Nope, don't do that!

It's almost certainly a file permissions problem in the Previews folder. Where's the catalog stored?

We just solved the problem. You are right, it was a permissions problem. The admin profile didn't have permission for the Previews folder - I don't know why, because it showed me that it has permission. So I set the permissions back and forth and then it worked.
