Have a HP 7110 wide format printer, loaded with A3 paper.. there is no option to print to this size in Elements !

Is there a way to enable this ?

That is because your printer driver does not have a defined paper size for A3. Elements gets the list of paper sizes from the printer driver.

I updated the driver, option to print A3 was shown and still printed A4 on A3 paper !. I loaded the photo in Nikon Capture NX-D and printed A3 no problem. surely Elements should be able to use the driver the same as other software ? If it was the driver both applications would have an issue.

I am not convinced by your answer.

Chris have you printed A3 on a HP wide format printer from Elements successfully?

I would really appreciate some more details. I like the software and planned to upgrade but now am not so sure.

This is the second time I have wasted ink and paper through PS Elements trying to print A3. it's frustrating. May well be some kind of 'user error', but surely the software should be making a fundamental function like printing easy ?

Anyway thanks for your help and I appreciate the speedy response.

Again, Elements gets the list of available paper sizes from the printer driver. Elements shows the list that it got from the printer driver.

If something is missing from the list, that can only be because the printer driver did not supply that page size to the application.

You need to contact the printer maker for updated drivers, or assistance using or fixing their printer driver code.

Selecting A3 prints an A4 sized print on the A3 paper. Is there a support line available ?

That means that the driver has something confused with it's setting for A3. Yes, HP has support channel available to help you with your printer driver issues.
