Icon is wrong on MacOS 10 when saving TIFF files with Alpha channel

There is a problem with Photoshop CC 2014 using Mac OS 10.9.4. When I modify a tiff file and create and save with an alpha channel, the icon disappears. The file still opens and works but will not show the icon unless saved as Photoshop file. This is a major problem for users in the graphics/fine art business (which most Photoshop users are)as it is most helpful to display individual files in large icon sizes when working with large number of files. You need to fix this ASAP!!!!

That's a known bug in MacOS 10 - they don't treat alpha channels and transparency correctly in several formats (you'll find that they mistakenly treat the alpha channel as if it was the transparency channel, despite clear documentation in the TIFF format specification). I filed bugs on it several years ago, and included example files that showed the problem, but it still has not been fixed.
