Lightroom CC: No dehaze

I purchased LR 6 as soon as it came out, but a month ago, the company I worked for offered staff a discounted Creative Cloud membership through Onthehub/kivuto (they made it clear it does not include cloud services but I'd get the full Applications.) So I purchased that.

I uninstalled LR6 (to the best of my ability) and installed the CC app and downloaded Photoshop and LR CC and have updated to the 2015 version. However when I open LR CC I do not have the new Dehaze control. It says it's LR 6.1, the branding at the top says "Lightroom mobile trial expired", and when I go to to Help-> System it says License: Perpetual. So I'm pretty sure it's some how getting stuck on the old LR 6 license, but don't know how to get rid of that.

Lightroom version: 6.1 [ 1025654 ]
License: Perpetual
Operating system: Mac OS 10
Version: 10.10 [4]
Application architecture: x64

Are you signed into LR via its Help menu, using the AdobeID your Kivuto was licensed under?

Supposedly if your AdobeID has a CC license associated with it then you can't use the serial-number version of LR, but that may not be taking into account discount CC licenses that don't have cloud space assigned to them--I mean maybe Adobe decided that discounted Kivuto licenses are the same as a serial-number license.

And if you can't get LR 6.x from being licensed on your computer, then you can use the following plug-in, or so I've been told, to get a makeshift Dehaze slider:

Yes I am on the same Adobe ID. If I go into "help" it shows my Adobe ID as signed in. If I then sign into "manage my account" on the adobe website it lists under Plans & Products "Creative Cloud Student and Teacher edition (one-year)‎"

I could do a hacked work around, but I'd prefer to keep my copy legitimate, particularly as I use it for teaching. I'm also concerned if there is another feature that comes out before LR7 that doesn't have such a work around, I'll miss out.

Adobe has not updated their help doc for what Kivuto allows and doesn't allow since LR 6 and LR CC were released so I'm not sure what to conclude, because either your LR 6-standalone is still being seen in error, or your Kivuto CC membership is being treated like a LR 6-standalone purchase because of its reduced cost and no one has thought about what to do with the now vs wait-until-LR7 features. Does the Kivuto website say anything about what LR CC Kivuto includes?

Hopefully this thread catches the eye of some official Adobe person and they can provide a more definitive answer.

Kivuto is also known as "On The Hub" their wording from the page I purchased it from says:

"Adobe® Creative CloudTM Desktop Applications for ETLA gives you access to every Adobe Creative Suite® desktop application and free Creative Cloud services (services and desktop application capabilities requiring paid membership are excluded)."

And I've seen the Lightroom Queen, who writes books about LR, and seems to have inside information although it's an official Adobe employee, say that Adobe is aware of the way to get the Dehaze slider to work in LR 6 and is ok with it. She wasn't specific about whether she was talking about presets or a plug-in, both of which are solutions, but I doubt Adobe has any way to police who's using a particular plug-in, at least with this version of LR and they can certainly program in some more sophisticated protections about using Dehaze in a plug-in or from a preset if they don't want people to do it, come LR 6.2+.

I'm starting to think maybe they are doing LR as LR 6, the "CC" is strangely absent next to Lightroom on their website:

Photoshop® CC
Image editing and compositing.

Illustrator® CC
Vector graphics and illustration.

InDesign® CC
Page design, layout, and publishing.

Dreamweaver® CC
Websites, app design, and coding.

After Effects® CC
Cinematic visual effects and motion graphics.

Adobe® Premiere® Pro CC
Video production and editing.

Adobe MuseTM Pro CC
Website design without coding.

Also included:

Acrobat® XI Pro
Adobe Audition® CC
Bridge CC
Encore® CC
Fireworks® CC
Flash® Builder® Premium
Flash Professional CC
InCopy® CC
Lightroom®
Media Encoder CC
Prelude® CC
SpeedGrade® CC
Edge Animate CC
Edge Code CC (preview)

Do they give a serial number to license LR with, then, or is there some custom installer that might be putting one in for you?

No separate LR serial and no custom installer. They give one serial number for Creative Cloud. Installing Creative cloud and installing the CC App then gives me the option to download all the apps (including what the CC App lists as "Lightroom CC (2015)" however installing that and then clicking "Open" gives me Lightroom 6.1.

There is no serial number for Creative Cloud -- you just sign in with your Adobe ID. IF you have a serial number, then you have a perpetual license, not a subscription.

I misspoke, it wasn't a serial number it was a "redemption code." When I got it, I went to Adobe's site: https://creative.adobe.com/educard/wah and put in said code. It then added "Creative Cloud Student and Teacher edition (one-year)‎" to my Plans and Subscriptions info on my adobe account.

OK, that helps.
But somehow your system still thinks it has a Lightroom 6 perpetual license instead of a subscription.

Yes. That is exactly the problem.

Update: I was able to borrow another laptop at work and installed the cloud app and sign in. When I installed and lauched Lightroom, it actually launched as Lightroom Creative Cloud.

That seems to indicate there is some file still on my mac at home that is keeping LR 6 registered. I've gone through the Preference File and Other Locations at https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/... to delete as much as I could (though Adobe has not updated that document for LR6 so I don't know if a registration file is elsewhere, I removed everything I could find excluding the catalogue, cat backups, and the RAW files.)

Having followed the advice here I tested installing Lightroom CC on another computer and it behaves properly. So the problem seems to be that my LR6 registration is some how stuck on the other computer and overriding the LR CC registration.

I have tried the uninstall instructions listed here for LR5: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/... (there are no instructions listed for LR6, I deleted everything except my RAW files and my Catalogue/Previews).

I have tried the Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-clou...

Yet when I reinstall Lightroom from the Creative Cloud menu, it says it installed Lightroom CC (2015) but when I open it, it opens as LR 6.1.

Is there a location for registration files for LR6 that I'm missing that are not listed in the remove instructions above?

I looked at your account. You have an enterprise @ home membership through Kivuto. Are you still not seeing the dehaze slider?

The problem was resolved a month or two ago. I believe there was a minor update to lightroom that resolved the issue.
