I recently purchased the Photoshop Elements 9 package to complement my purchase of a new Nikon D7000 SLR. Imagine my dismay when I found that Elements 9 does not recognise / process RAW images taken with the Nikon D 7000. Is there a solution for this?

You need to update the ACR version to either 6.3 or 6.4 for D7000 support. 6.4 is the newest so use that.
Here is a link to the Windows version: http://www.adobe.com/support/download...
It you are using a Mac go to Downloads on right side of the page and you will find it in there.

Hi Denis, as Geoff kindly points out, you need to update your copy of Camera Raw. You can easily do this by selecting Help>Updates... in Photoshop Elements.
These two topics are related and apply to Photoshop Elements so they may be of interest:
How do I make sure I have the latest updates for Photoshop or Lightroom
Why doesn't my version of Photoshop or Lightroom support my camera?

Hi Geoff and Jeffrey,
Followed the suggestion and was fully satisfied with the results. I am only a relatively recent convert to digital photography and a complete neophyte as far as Photoshop is concerned - but I am learning!
With many thanks
