Will Lightroom Classic CC be able to handle Nikon Z6 RAW files from the date the camera goes on sale - November 2018.  Otherwise how can files be used ? (little point in buying the camera if software is not up to date).  And surely Adobe has had enough warning of this impending camera release ......

Nikon ViewNXi has already been updated for the Z7, and I expect Nikon Capture will be before the camera arrives. And there are plenty of viewers for jpgs. If you don't buy the camera, I might get mine sooner! ;)

So why do Adobe lag behind so much ??  I would need to work on the RAW files, not just view them.  So you may well get your's earlier at this rate !

I'm going to provide a link to a discussion from the Lightroom Classic CC forum. It's regarding a Sony camera that was released a couple of months ago. Read the entire discussion but replace any references to the Sony camera with your new Nikon camera that you are considering. Then consider all the questions and answers. Everything in that discussion will apply to the new Nikon camera. Nothing is different, nothing will change, there's nothing  different that Adobe will be able to do in the instance of this new Nikon camera. And the outcome will be the same. Really, please read the entire discussion. Then, if you have more questions about what you might expect, feel free to ask.
