Hello Adobe-Team,

Tethering function in Adobe Lightroom 6.1:

It works fine with Nikon D300s!

But sometimes the Nikon D5300 will not recognise by the Tethering function in Lightroom 6.1.

Can you check the D5300 and other popular DSLR cams with the Tethering function?

thanks

regards,
Raymond

Have you tried any of the troubleshooting steps found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/...

Never worked for me either.  I even reinstalled Windows and Lightroom, still no tethered capture.  [extremely frustrated]

I too am having this problem.  Lightroom will NOT detect my Nikon D5300 for tethered capturing.  It will import photos as long as I haven't tried tethered capture first.  Once attempting a tethered capture, I have to quit LR, turn off the camera, turn the camera back on, then launch LR, then it will import again.  But it has never worked with tethered capture.   Lightroom CC 2015.6.1, Windows 10 Home 64 bit.

Kevin,
After you restart Lightroom and connect the camera, are you able to import from the camera?

Thanks,
Sunil

Not sure if this is related to https://feedback.photoshop.com/photoshop_family/topics/tethering-support-for-nikon-d5500-camera-not-.... The issue there was some latest camera firmware update that broke the compatibility with the Nikon SDK that Lightroom uses to communicate with the camera. That issue as I recall was resolved in a later Nikon SDK update integrated by Lightroom. Please post your full Lightroom system info.
