I'd like to see a specific feature. A function to nestle and un-nestle open canvases. SImple enough I think; so simple I'm surprised I haven't heard of it.

Thanks,

What do you mean "nestle and un-nestle open canvases"?

When you have multiple canvases open you can treat them as individual panes or you can stack them to operate as tabs. I'd like to be able to stack and unstack them with a keyboard command. When stacked they would operate as they normally do. However when you trigger this command they would separate into individual equally sized windows (canvases). Like a mosaic of sorts. Similar to the effect that takes place on a Mac desktop when you view all of your open desktop Spaces.

That sounds like you are describing the options already available under Window -> Arrange.

And you can assign keyboard shortcuts to those commands.

That'll do it. I kinda figured it had to already be an option. Thanks for the help.

I've realized that I've always known about that feature but never recognized it because it shares a name with the "Arrange" in the Layers menu; a function I use somewhat regularly. Maybe it should be renamed "Organize". Because I spoke with a few people that use Photoshop daily and they didn't consider it a a product feature or functionality.

But thanks again for the help and clarification.
