It's not so much a problem as more of an annoyance -
There is a bit of a workflow issue when creating a new document with a black background -
When Foreground and Background colours are set to default, or when you click the
Default Foreground and Background colours (D) the colours are Foreground = Black and Background = White
Problem comes when you want to create a new document with a background colour of black.
Click File, then New, then in the dialog box under "Background Contents"
you have the choice of 1- White 2- Background Colour (Default = White) and 3- Transparent
So to have a new document with black background you either have to open one in white then fill it with black, or go out of the dialog box and Switch Foreground and Background colours (X) then open a new document with Background Contents as background colour (now Black after switch!).
Quite a palaver!
So just one added item to the drop down menu would be a huge Time Saver, for me anyway!
1- White, 2- Black 3- Background colour (For user choice) 4- Transparent
Happy days!
