Lightroom: New display size for second crop

If you crop for a second time, or more, the display returns to the entire original image with the part cropped grayed out. I would like to have an option to crop a second or more time using the display size of the first crop only. This would be particularly helpful with heavy crops possible with new high-megapixel cameras such as the Nikon 800 but useful for 18 megapixels cameras and up too..

I think it's a lot more reasonable simply to be allowed to zoom during the cropping operation. That eliminates the need for the second step if you are cropping heavily on the first pass. Possibly one of the zoom steps could be "fill" which could fill to the current crop.

That makes sense. Either way you get to crop on an image the size you want it. I was surprised to find this feature not available.

Totally agree. Sometimes, even with 16MP, heavy cropping can be necessary.
And then precision really doesn't play along in the current implementation.

I would like to see a rehaul of the crop tool (just do it like everyone else..).
