Hi all,
one of my customers came up with a nice idea. As you can save selections to channels you always have to consider if you have to delete them later on to save only used stuff to the file. Now you use the protocol to save working steps while the file is open. My customer suggest to create a second selection protocol panel. There you can see all selections and return to them if necessary. The selections are removed when the file is closed. The selections can be named with the creator tool or if created from a layer or path with these informations. And of course you can use a kind of preview like red mask in the picture when you use mouseover in this panel to recognize which selection it was. Maybe someone of you has additional ideas.
