Hi. When I try to open some of the files I've worked on, this is the message I get:

Could not complete your request because an unknown or invalid JPEG marker is found

Not all of my files receive this message. Two samples of the files that get this message are lunasparkle.jpg and arroyo sun.jpg I can't figure out how to change the file names while they are in creative cloud so that I will be able to open them, or what I am doing to make them unknown or invalid. Help please!!

This means they are either corrupted or not JPEG files. Do you have backups to check?

Ok this will display my ignorance, but what makes a file JPEG other than just saving it as such? Of the originals, one was a jpg and the other was a png and after I worked on them I saved them as jpg in creative cloud. The originals open up on my desktop just fine.

If you save a PSD file with the extension .JPG, it is still a PSD file inside, just mislabeled as JPG.

And if you have a JPEG file that has been corrupted on the camera, on disk, in transfer, etc. - then you would get the same JPEG invalid marker error (or similar errors meaning that the JPEG code cannot read that file).
