Lightroom: New Reference Photo Pane and Soft-Proofing

The new Reference Photo Pane is great - for the life of me I cannot get my monitors to calibrate to match so being able to have a reference photo on the same screen as my active photo is super helpful.

But it seems to me that the most useful way to use this would be while soft-proofing the active photo to make sure your solidified idea will come out on print as closely as possible.

I cannot find a way to do this - when I turn on the reference pane the soft-proofing option goes away, and if I turn on soft-proofing first then the reference pane, the soft-proof disappears.

The two functions would go hand-in-hand spectacularly!

I just want to add that I totally agree with Bethany above. It seems like the most useful function for the reference photo feature in Lightoom would be for soft proofing...making adjustments so that your print matches your original as closely as possible. Very strange that the soft proofing isn't possible to activate in reference view. Would be great to have this feature added!
