Fabulous upgrade - I shoot tethered most of the time to a Nikon D850 / Macbook - the speed of download has always been weirdly variable but is now super fast and the added camera controls are pretty cool too. Seems much more stable which is great, although plugging my iphone into the other USB port to charge it, killed the tethering, which is a bit odd. Otherwise great - well done!

What added camera controls do you now have?

Shutter speed, aperture, ISO and preset WB are now all controllable from the laptop - not actually that useful for me but cool nonetheless

Thanks, I’ll have to see if my Canon does the same.

You would be able to use these controls with Canon cameras too, John.

Thanks,
Sunil

Thanks for the feedback, Charles.
Are you not able to tether while iPhone is connected to the machine at all?

Thanks,
Sunil

Hi Sunil, no, as soon as I connect the phone the tethering connection is broken - it still appears to be tethered as the controls window is still visible but it is not possible to trigger the camera with the  Capture button although it is possible to fire the camera from the shutter release on the camera but in this case, no file is downloaded. As soon as the phone is disconnected the "detecting camera" window pops up and the tether is re-established straight away. I tried swapping the two USB ports but got the same result
