I just purchased the new 27" iMac and have installed my CS5.5 Photoshop on it ... when I try to place a photo into my Facebook/Blog template (I'm a photographer) - the photos look blurry! If I view the photo alone in iPhoto - it's perfectly clear. What am I doing wrong???

I've looked at the Image size/resolution and it's fine at 300 dpi. I've also Saved for Web and nothing helps ...

Did you resize your images (downsample) for your facebook/blog ? Normally web photos are closer to 72 to 100 dpi, not 300 dpi. It is possible that the browser or Facebook is not doing a good job of downsampling your images to fit.

I noticed the photos were pixelated while still in Photoshop ... and it didn't clear up once I posted to Facebook either. I've since downloaded CS6 to see if that would help and it appears to have fixed the problem. I wonder if it's possible that CS5.5 doesn't work well on the new iMACs with retina displays?!?

I'd hate to find out this is Adobe and Macs way of getting you to upgrade.

Thanks for trying to help!

Ok, you're just seeing the pixel doubling for older apps and browsers on Retina displays.
