New CC Update causes Color Range tool to Crash Photoshop...

The Color Range selection tool consistently crashes the program and discards recent changes. It happens anytime I try to select a range of colors, or blacks and whites. I'm not sure what would be causing this because I'm using windows 7 and I'm using the most recent update of the CC. It didn't start acting this way until that update came through. Since then, it's been crashing on that tool and I've not run into any other tool that causes this same type of issue. Any help would be great, as I have a work project that I really need to finish, as well as use this tool to finish in a timely manner. Thank you!

I have had the same issue where when I try to select a color range and drag the color picker to add more ranges of colors, Photoshop would crash. Every time!

I think I might have found a solution!

After looking around for a fix for this issue, I came across an older post: http://feedback.photoshop.com/photosh...

As someone had mentioned, they turned off "Extras" under the View menu (or you can press Ctrl+H).
I gave this a try and miraculously, it worked!

Hope it works for you too!

Since I had the same color range issue I tried your suggestion to turn off extras. The first drag with the add to selection eyedropper worked. I thought "Great!" However, the second drag crashed PS CC 2015 on my Win 8.1 PC. I'm new to the community. How area things like this reported to Adobe?

I have a similar problem. My computer crashes when I use Color Range. It has been working well without incident. There has been no changes that I am aware of. I tried tried switching off Extras under view. Using windows 7

I just tried all the things and in the view menu tou have to change the "format d'épreuve"(I'm in french so I don't know what it is in English, but it's the first) to RVB Monitor!
