Never sync

I'm not a professional photographer, I don't use a tablet or phone to edit photos and currently wouldn't want to. I don't want my family photos uploaded to cloud storage for various reasons (equifax, yahoo, privacy). For now I can continue using Lightroom classic, and that's great, but I'm assuming that classic will eventually stop receiving updates and at that point I'll either be forced to use something else or upgrade to Lightroom CC. When that happens I'm hoping there will be a feature to disable, indefinitely, the sync feature of Lightroom CC. Some kind of button or checkbox in the settings that stops all sync related activities, you can include a warning that some features won't be supported with out sync enabled.

A lot of professional photographers will not be interested in Lightroom CC, if only because they have many terabytes of originals already. Adobe knows that too, so I wouldn't be too afraid for the future of Lightroom Classic. Never say never, but I think that Lightroom Classic will be maintained for a long time to come.
