I recently signed up to Lightroom CC and followed a beginners tutorial for editing raw photos. My Nikon camera RAW version comes up as NEF files. When I try and follow what the tutorial did "open profile panel" it doesn't give you the raw options eg Adobe landscape. What do I do?
Your camera is probably set to shoot JPEG image files, which don't uses camera profiles. You need to set it to raw or raw + JPEG if you'd like to compare the camera's JPEG processing to your raw NEF file processing in LR.
thanks for that, I did have my camera set to RAW and Jpeg, but looks like I was importing the Jpeg instead of the NEF file. I'm also having the same problem with DNG files from my drone. I've set it as Raw and Jpeg & I've since double checked that its the DNG version that I've imported, but LR doesn't give me the RAW Adobe profile options with the DNG file. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong, thanks.
