presets are all or nothing - need a master fader to be able to attenuate the effect to taste

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Preset Strength / Opacity Tool.

I loved the ability in C1 Pro to alter the strength of a preset. In Lr. I use 'The Fader' plugin but would much prefer a dedicated Lr tool. Please.....

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Product Request: Preset Intensity Slider.

Hello All,

Would love an intensity slider (similar to LUTs or even an applied opacity) for presets.

Seems like the layering should be relatively straight forward in terms of implementation.

@mod this should be a separate product request as it is for Lightroom CC and Lightroom Mobile / Tablet (cloud)

If it can't be moved, I can re-submit the ticket.

There is a plugin that can do that: https://www.capturemonkey.com/thefader/

@Johan yes I've googled that before. This is for Lightroom CC and Cloud. Not sure why it's getting lumped together with lightroom desktop.

Can you maintain this as a separate topic?

Lightroom Desktop is the cloud-based client for the Lightroom Ecosystem (Cloud).

Any change like this would have to be made at the Camera Raw level and would affect all clients including Lightroom Classic, Camera Raw and the Ecosystem clients.

Thanks @Rikk

I see, what would be the complexity in porting Luts for the cloud-based client?

Similar to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j9w4i-hANtQ

Even if the implementation is complex, it's a feature many (many) users are requesting, despite the eng effort I'd like to see what the design estimate for this really is.

H’m, strange that this got merged. The first post is six years old, which made me conclude this could only be about Lightroom Classic, because Lightroom cloud didn’t exist then.
