Need Help with Photoshop, Wacom Tablet and SMART TV on a MacBook Pro

I am a mac user and have CS6 "in the cloud". I also purchased a Wacom for Christmas, but haven't taken it out of the box yet because of all the information on the internet that indicates that the CS6, Wacom and Mac don't work "Play well" together. I did not upgrade to Maverick on my mac. I also have a SMART TV with the HDMI cable to my mac so I can use the "big screen" to edit my work in photoshop. Can anyone give me information on how to get all of this stuff to work together smoothly? Any helpful links would be greatly appreciated.

It's only Wacom and MacOS 10.9 that have problems. Older MacOS versions work much more reliably. We are continuing to work with Apple and Wacom to figure out what the heck broke in 10.9.

If I understand correctly, I shouldn't upgrade to Maverick and I CAN go ahead and open my Wacom and set it up...right :)

The problem I am having is that I purchased a Wacom to use with CS6, but realize my computer doesn't have enough RAM to run all of this. If I purchase a new 13" MacBook Pro, it will have Maverick on it, and then I am back to the same problem. Since I don't want to negate the warranty on my apple product by opening up the computer and adding more RAM, and my Wacom won't operate with the RAM I have now, AND if I purchase a new computer, it will have Maverick, I am stuck! I am paying the monthly fee for Creative Suite 6 and can't use it to its full potential. I don't want to lose my membership in CS6 because I am trying to learn photoshop. I am wondering if you can provide me with a suggestion on how I should proceed?
