Photoshop: How do I undo an image resize after saving PSD file?

i have a PSD file with a large file i have edited. i saved it and resized the image in cs6 then saved again over top (acidently) how can i undo the pixel size of my image (5000 down to 2000px wide) i have no undo button after i reopened the PSD file?

There is no undo - you saved the bits you had, which were downsampled.
Unless you have a backup of the original high res image, it's gone.

another great design floor in photoshop. i dont understant why the psd doesent save everything you have been doing.....

Because terabyte image files that take hours to load or save get kind of unwieldy.

What you're asking for is like keeping a backup car with your car, in case you crush your car and later decide you really wanted your car.
