So im having a problem articulating what I'm looking to do. I'm using Photoshop cs6 and it seems like it would be so simple to create this action but i cant seem to figure it out.
Basically I work as a Ecommerce photographer, and we are in the process of switching websites, to a new Demandware site. For whatever reason Demandwear crops all images to a square, so if the image is not a square it crops it to the center. We have over 200,000 images that the new site has cropped in, therefore we need to make all the images square, reupload them and they will look fine.
So i trying to make an action where I can batch the images to open, be place, centered on a 2000x2000 pixel canvas and save. Any idea on how to go about this?
The images we have are all different weird sizes, [example zippers 330x1600] to other odd sizes....i don't want to crop in the image or re-size the images, just want them to fit into a white blank square canvas without having to transform and make them fit, and save.
Like this example image.
some images are portrait, some are landscape...i tried to make a batch add canvas to each image but it wasn't working right and making them i figure the easiest way to do it for the site is just put them on a blank white square canvas...
