Please help! LR develop module not loading...non technical person here! Since I last imported pictures with no problem a few days ago and now come back to edit, the develop module is completely unresponsive. I can see all my presets and sliders but at the top of the picture I get the message "the file could not be found" even though my library is in tact. This is completely frustrating to me and I am not very technical so any layman terms to help fix would be most appreciated!!!!

Have you moved or deleted any files on your computer since you did the import? Made any other changes?

If not, try creating a new catalog and importing just a few test photos to see if it works. That will help narrow down the problem.

Ok yes I created a second test catalog and imported one photo. Everything works there. What should I do now?

That sounds like the original image file is not there anymore or not in the place where it was imported into LR. Right click in LR in browse module on the image that is not loading and choose "show in finder". If it is there, then I don't know, what else could be the problem.

Hi Lori,
It seems that the original files have been deleted from the location where it was imported to Lightroom , try what Peter has suggested and let us know what do you see.
