Need Draggable CLONE SOURCE ROTATE key command.

To add a rotate to the existing draggable key command, that does not take your preview brush off the art. This way you can make precise alignments. There is a key command of SHIFT OPTION > or <, but that is much to slow to be useful, even with my OS key repeat rate set to fast.

This would resolve an earlier post I have of rotating the standard oval brush for illustrating shadows, as this suggestion should work for all brushes (clone stamp, healing, brush, pencil, healing).

On Windows after activating that field I can hold Shift and use roll to skip every 10 values untill I hovered outside of Clone Source panel. We can not activate that by shortcut, and we can not keep previously entered value after we reactivate it (by other tool, to choose back that with changed angle).

That might help, can you please explain roll. I am on mac, with a wacom (where I can configure middle mouse button and such), and have another mouse with roller ball.

After you activate Angle field of Source Clone panel you can scroll up / down by mouse roll if your cursor is still over that panel. Additionally holding shift you change value of every 10 degrees.

Thanks for your input, but you missed that my my post specifically asks for "does not take your preview brush off the art". The image I posted shows the preview brush close to the angle needed to begin cloning the missing round edge of the plate. To find that angle requires going back and forth between the clone source palette with numerous updates and tests to the angle and being time consuming and frustrating.

I see now. Too bad you are not Windows user. You could operate Angle value much faster with only roll (plus holding for ex. 4th mouse button) without changing position of your cursor form graphics you're over. That would be possible thanks to: XMouseButtonControl
