Correct. Face information does not sync between mobile and the Lightroom Classic desktop application. Syncing only occurs between the Lightroom CC clients (Desktop, web and device)

> if a person bit the bullet and fully converted does it throw out all the Classic face tags?

Face tags do transfer through migration, just not through sync.

Which, again, means it's not a technical limitation but a political decision ;)

Ah, if only life was that clear cut Antoine. Most things are technically possible if you throw enough resources at them, but all resources are limited and priority decisions have to be made. That's just life.

A one-time, one-way migration is very different situation to a two-way sync Antoine, with very different amounts of engineering etc. involved, so at this time, they've made the decision to focus Classic on being a powerful desktop app and the Cloudy apps for cloud sync.

I do support the request for full sync in Classic, but the conspiracy theories aren't helping the cause...

Thanks Victoria. That is great to know. When it comes to Syncing versus one time conversation I’m okay waiting as long as I see a path forward with my data. I believe someday LR CC will be the stronger product.
