Just purchased Elements from Apple app store. When I go to 'Open' in File menu the program stalls and does not respond, requiring me to force quit. Tried restarting. Not finding it easy to get help; been sent round Adobe site in various loops all afternoon. I've just spent £55, not impressed.
Any chance you are running MacOS 10.9? The open and save dialogs on MacOS 10.9 have a bug that affects all applications if the view is set to "coverflow". Changing the view type to anything else avoids the OS bug.
