Disable all 3rd party plug-ins and panels.

Also, make sure your video card driver is up to date. Determine what video card you have and go directly to the manufacturers website (nVidia or ATI/AMD) and download the latest driver. GPU and OpenGL support | Photoshop CS4, CS5: http://adobe.ly/OpenGL

Finally, restore Photoshop's preferences: http://adobe.ly/PS_Prefs

Relaunch Photoshop and let us know if that solves your problem.

Thanks your reply... But how can I disable the 3rd party plug-ins?

My nVIDIA is the lastest driver 285.62 for the GeForce GT550M.

Troubleshoot plug-ins (Photoshop CS5 and CS4): http://adobe.ly/PSPlugIn

To disable panels, choose Preferences>Plugins... and uncheck all three check boxes under "Extension Panels"

Problems with selection tools are usually due to OpenGL drawing and bugs in the video card drivers. Were you using a specific selection tool every time it crashed? Or does it crash with all selection tools?

Try this: go into Photoshop's preferences, under "Performance" and disable OpenGL drawing. Then restart Photoshop and try editing for a while and see if the crashes go away. If it doesn't crash, then you know that the problem is with your video card driver.

When using the selection toools got the problem.. When I click... Crash appear... But I already disabled the open gl setting, still crash... Both of the Photoshop 32 and 64bit also like that..nvdia . If no mistaken after I update the nvdia driver than my Photoshop always crash or when I using the wacom tablet to drawing will suddenly pop up no responding window...

Try going to Edit>Preferences>Performance>Disable Use Graphics Processor. And then restart the programme.
