I will be using my Photoshop Elements 11 Editor and it will freeze up. It won't let me do anything, and won't close either. I have to restart my computer to get it working again. But this is happening more frequently. Is there a way to fix this, or maybe an update to fix this bug?

Have you tried just force quitting the Elements Editor?
You shouldn't have to restart the system, unless something is wrong at the system level.

I have tried closing it every way I can. I guess I should've mentioned that I have Windows 8. I'm not sure if it's a problem with Elements or with my computer, but I do know that Elements is the only thing giving me this problem. Everything else works fine.

If Elements is the only thing freezing, then you can force quit just Elements from the Task Manager.
If the whole computer is freezing and you can't even open the Task Manager - then you have a hardware problem.

I am using Elements 11 with Windows 7 64 bit. Recently, upon trying to open the Editor, I'm getting the 'Runtime Error...' popup and Editor will not open.
I've followed the advice about re-naming the MediaDatabase file and this solves it as a one off, but when I try to open Editor the next time, the same thing happens.
I'm puzzled that despite re-naming the file, the old file name is still there! Deleting it makes no difference, it just seems to come back! Uninstalling & re-installing the program makes no difference either.....
Having to go through this tedious procedure each & every time I want to Edit a stack of photos is really getting me down.
Can anyone help, please?
Stephen.
