Hi. I'm a modestly experienced LR and PS user. I find that when working on a book in LR my photos will often go out of focus. I can correct this by moving the zoom slider all the way to the right, then back to the original setting. Any ideas on how to prevent this? Roger

I have seen this numerous times when loading large files. I have been able to speed up the process by clicking on the next image and then going back to the original one I am trying to load. I have also had some success by switching between Library and Develop modes. These are admittedly all workarounds to a processing problem that Adobe is not addressing.

I use Smart Previews now for everything and I see this less often. You could also export the images you are using for the book as high quality JPGs but scaled to the largest size you'd need in the book. That should make preview pop up quicker too.
