My brush tool changes to eyedropper tool as I switch layers In PS cc2014

When I create an adjustment layer and try to paint with my paintbrush or I switch between two different adjustment layers to mask, the brush tool has been automatically changing into the eyedropper tool. I have to constantly change my tool back to the brush tool each time I change layers. This seems to be a new behavior only starting within the last week or so. It is becoming annoying. Why can't my brush tool stay a brush tool???

Have you added any third party plugins, or HTML panels recently?
Do you have all the Photoshop CC 2014 updates installed?

Thanks, Chris!

No new 3rd party plug-ins or updates recently. PS CC2014 is up to date.

Well, something changed recently that is triggering a tool change - and it is something that other users aren't seeing.

Have you tried disabling all third party plugins?

Have you tried turning off Generator? (preferences -> plugins)

Have you checked the Script Events Manager? (if you have any set, there is one checkbox in the upper left to turn them all off)

Seems to have been a temporary issue and now it's working like normal again!
