Lightroom Classic: Moving an album causes a re-download on LR Android

I got a few hard-drives with albums, I moved an album of raw files, that is shared in the cloud as smartpreviews, inside of LR classic to another drive. The share album is still intact and updated with the new location in LR classic.

But LR mobile on Android triggers a full re download of the moved album (even though the data of the photos didn't change). The store locally setting is active for these albums.

There  are NO Albums in LR Classic. There are Collections but you don't move them and they are only LISTS of image names. Like sitting at your kitchen table and making a list on a piece of paper of the books or records you own.

Or are you talking about Lightroom the Cloud Centric version. There are Albums in that version.

I think Donna is saying that when she moved the folder to another drive using the folders panel in Classic, that this act triggered LR/Android to re-download those images in a "stored locally" album.
Is that correct?

On Classic, did you mess with the shared collection containing those images?

Does that collection in Classic also contain images not sourced from the moved folder and if so do you recall if they too were re-downloaded to the Android?.

Did you notice if images other than ones sourced from the moved folder were also re-downloaded?

Yes thats what I ment.

Didn't do anything to the collection in classic.

Actually in some cases (or probably all of them) its a 2 folder combo, its the actual folder with all the raw files and an "edit" folder inside it with the edited tifs, both linked with the same collection. The collections are just mirroring the folder with the edit subfolder.

Just with the folders I moved. Same behavior on all of my Android devices. And classic did not reupload them all (I would have noticed, it was a lot), just the mobile clients decided to redownload them.
