Hi - I am new to this software and just learning from scratch really. We set up lightroom and imported photos that were on old software but these older photos are blurred when they weren't before. My husband thinks they are not actually imported but are " in the cloud " and that's why. Apologies for my ignorance but can someone tell me how to get these images fully imported? I have bought the Scott Kelby book and it's great but any online help would be great too as I am a complete novice! Thanks

You can import images from any source on your PC/Mac can't see any problem about importing from a Cloud account.  Did you set your render size in the import dialogue, should be at least set to 'standard' it could be that the images aren't rendered if not then they will be blurry.

If you're importing images from another application, it's possible that you're importing the low-res previews the other software generated and not the original files. If you take an image with a DSLr or your phone and import it directly to Lightroom, is it what you expect?
