Which specific version of Photoshop CC are you using?
What specific Macintosh model and GPU are you using?

We've seen some slowdowns due to external factors (antivirus, slow file servers, third party plugins, etc.), and some due to things like font previews (especially slow when the OS font cache is messed up). But ACR shouldn't be easily affected by most of those.

OK, so Apple does have some driver problems on those systems - but they're visual glitches as far as I know, not slowdowns. But the ACR redraw issue could be related to them.

But Photoshop CC doesn't have any known slowdowns like you describe. CC 2014 may have some new issues, and we're still investigating those reports - but they happen to only a few users and we can't reproduce them yet.

If you are running third party plugins - have you tried disabling them?

There's a chance that something like font previews could cause slowdowns - have you tried turning off font previews (Type -> Font Preview Size -> None )?

Have you tried shutting down other applications that are running at the same time as Photoshop (one build of Chrome caused issues a while back)?
