Lightroom: More flexible jpg printing and finding most recent edits

As a daily user of LR since version 1, I could use two additional features.
In the Print module, the next version of LR needs to have custom settings lower than 4.0.

LR seems to store edit dates but they are not visible - it needs to have an edit date in metadata that automatically lists the last date of a Lightroom, Photoshop or plug-in edit, i.e., the date of the last edit regardless of source.

Jerry, can you explain this in a little more detail please? In the Print module, the next version of LR needs to have custom settings lower than 4.0.

I suspect he means that if you're printing to JPEG and set a custom page size, the minimum dimension is 4 inches.

You can sort the Library by "Edit Time". Although it won't tell you when you made the edit, it tells you the order in which you edited the files. When you sort A-Z, the most recently edited files are listed last.

Photoshop edits are already going to have date information attached to them in the metadata. Either a new file was created by the edit (Save As) or the file has a new Modified Date (Save). You can perform a Metadata filter search to find images by Date, which filters by year, then month, then day (calendar and week).

I can't speak to plug-ins and what kinds of data they attach to files inside or out of Lightroom.

Good idea to have that last-edit-date available as native (viewable) metadata - thus I ticked the '+1' for this, despite not caring about the jpg printing aspect.

PS - Plugins can access last-edit-date, but if they tried to make it available as custom metadata it would change the last-edit-date, so that's out.
