Photoshop: More features for Concept Artists/Painters!

Photoshop feels like it hasn't had a significant update in a decade for artists. We still don't have some kind of mirror/symmetrical painting tool, a separate paint mixer widget for colours or stylus rotatable brushes really. Please consider an emphasis on concept artists and painters in your next update. I am seriously considering ending my subscription over the lack of features and very few improvements every year. The brush selection menu for instance looks like the 90s, resizing brush thumbnails and other aspects of the interface should be intuitive. I've listened to many other concept artists complaining about this as well.

Hi Lance! Thank you for the feedback.

Summarizing your requests, you'd like to see:
•  Mirror/Symmetrical Painting
•  Color Mixing and Blending
•  Improved Brush Selection (Adjusting Size, Finding Brushes, etc.)

Is there anything else about the brush menus and selecting brushes that you'd like to see?

Do you use Tool Presets (TPLs) or Brush Presets (ABRs) while you're working?

Hey thank you! Yes I do use the Tool and Brush Presets. Just would like more display options for them, perhaps a larger or customizable "Stroke Thumbnail" option?

More responsive sizing of thumbnails would help too when you resize the widget.

It's nice to just see my own custom made brushes separated in the Creative Cloud Library, but an even more useful feature would be to have organized sections within a brush collection so I could seperate them more easily how I want.

Oh and I realize now the brush rotation is actually a hardware limitation with my stylus. Thanks again!

Great feedback, thank you Lance.

Most of the items above are marked down in our backlog of potential features. Speaking up on these forums helps influence how we prioritize feature development!  We are paying attention to the needs of digital artists and painters.

I agree with your suggestions above. The custom brushes your referring to above, are those brushes created with the Capture CC mobile app?

You may or may not find this helpful, but right now you can drag your brush presets from the Brush Presets pane within Photoshop into Libraries for organization.
