I have Photoshop 6. Am a retired graphic designer and do some community based charity work and donate my skills. Since I only use this program occasionally for charity, I do not want to purchase expensive new software. Recently after I updated my internet system, I found that the tools in my Photoshop program had disappeared. Everything else seems to be ok. Instead of the tools there is a Photoshop logo. When I click on that, I get a window for updating my software. How do I get my tools back?

Photoshop 6, or Elements 6?

What do you mean "instead of the tools there is a Photoshop logo"? Can you post a screenshot of that, so we can understand what you're referring to?

The screenshot of my Photoshop 6 appears to have uploaded correctly. As you can see, instead of a vertical bar with tools, there is a logo in the upper right corner instead. When I click on that, I get a window that takes me to Adobe Online. I have also tried reinstalling PS6 to no avail.

I replied directly back to your email. I tried to upload an image into this window but all I saw was some coding. I'll try again.

Maybe when you receive this, it will appear my Photoshop 6 image

Double click on the top of the toolbox (highlighted in red)

You can also choose Window>Tool Bar I believe. That should uncollapse the collapsed tool bar.
