Missing the Old Photoshop Interface

Dear Photoshop team,
It would be so great if you could remove the automatic "finder" that comes up now in the program. As long, long, longtime Photoshop user this really impedes my workflow. If, in the next update, you could include an option to "revert to no background" or something, that would be much appreciated.
This feature might be a plus for photographers who stay in the program all day long, but as a designer, I am constantly bouncing in and out of Photoshop and other Adobe programs. After having worked with 6 for a few months now, I find this background to be a complete impediment to daily interaction with the Mac finder workspace. Please, let's add the option to go back to no built-in interface.

Thank you,
Longtime User Guy No. 887,432

Are you talking about the "application frame" being ON by default?

Go to menu item...
Window > ✓ Application Frame (checkmark = ON)
Window > Application Frame (no checkmark = OFF)

And what do you mean by "automatic finder"?

Also "no built in interface" makes no sense -- every program has an interface, otherwise the user couldn't use the program.
