Hi,

I uninstalled my Adobe package in order to do a fresh install of my OS but after spending quite a bit of time reinstalling everything, my Photoshop is missing the Scrubby Zoom feature. Its not grayed out, its just missing all together.

Which exact version of Photoshop?
Which OS?
Which GPU?
What are the Preferences > Performance > Graphics Processor Settings?

Photoshop CS5

Windows 7

Intel i7

As for graphics processor settings, I didn't do anything different then what I had the last time.

That is irrelevant and does not answer the question.
What are the settings?
Does Photoshop recognize the GPU?

I'll have to double check when I get home tonight, but I'm not sure I follow. Is there another step after installation that I am suppose to do to get certain features to appear?

Scrubby Zoom is GPU dependent, so if GPU usage is turned off or Photoshop does not recognise the GPU (which might just be due to a driver issue) the feature is out.

And what are the Settings? (click »Advanced Settings«)
Could you provide a screenshot that includes the Options Bar for the Zoom Tool?

That looks like you might be missing some (or all) of the updates for Photoshop CS5. You should have version 12.0.4.

That looks like photoshop cs4, not photoshop cs5 and thus you would not have Scrubby Zoom.

In the first screenshot, that looks just like the Advanced Settings for OpenGL

Howdy Minh,

You can check your version number by going to Help > System Info.  Posting the first two or three lines of that might be helpful for troubleshooting, though, I think JEA is right -- it looks like this is a pretty old version of the app.

Thanks,
David

In the newest PHOTOSHOP CC June 20, 2016 Update I believe they've tweaked the ZOOM or Scroll IN and Out function. Making it Clunky and completely unenjoyable to think about using. Is there any way to go back to the the older version ?
