Lightroom: Missing edit.tif files

Missing -edit.tif files from yesterday. I have a series of photos that I started in lightroom, processed in Photoshop, then brought back to Lightroom to keep in a Collection and apply export criteria. I imported more photos today, but the edit.tif files from yesterday don't display. I can "see" them in Finder, but they don't display in Lightroom and I can't import them. AAARRGGHHH. Just updated to latest CC - is this a bug, or user error?

In Library module click on the All Photographs in the upper left and they should magically appear

Lynn, I don't see the 'All Photographs' in the Library module.

As a work around I reopened every file in Photoshop, then did a file Save As, with a new name. I was then able to import the files into LR.

Thank you for replying.

On the left-there should be a section labeled "Catalog" and under there it says

All Photographs
Quick Collection
Previous Import

make sure that All Photographs is selected

What were the original source files? If you choose Save As... instead of just hitting Cmd S Lightroom won't import the resulting file.

Lynn Oakleaf, that worked. The edit.tif files had not been saved to the collection where the original files were located. When I pulled up the All Photographs in the Catalog category I was able to locate the edit.tif files, then could save them to the Collection.

Thank you for the clarification and making sure I "got it".

Jeffrey Tranberry, I did do the CmdS and the files showed up in LR. The problem was when I closed down LR and reopened LR, the edit.tif (Photoshop edited files) did not show up in the Collection the original files were located.

Thank you for your offer to help.

Have a great day!
