Lightroom: Missing a command to move an image to top or bottom of a collection

Hi,
I'm searching for a possibility to move a picture to top (= beginning) or to bottom (= end) of a collection in Lightroom.
Example: When having a new picture added to a large collection it is sorted at the end. To bring it on the top, I have to scroll with a lot effort. The same when I want to move a picture from the beginning of a collection to the end).
I should give in the same way as in photoshop a layer is possible to put it on the very top or very bottom, possible with pictures inside collections.
It makes it much easier to change the order of images

Can you explain why you're wanting to move the photo to the beginning or end? How does that help your workflow?

Yes:  I am preparing PDF's,  Web content and presentations with Lightroom. With the export-option I can rename all exported files and give them numbers.
The order of the pictures is of course important then...

Hi Benedikt. Completely understand the order of the pictures is important. I'm just not quite following why you'd want to send them to the beginning or end. There may be another solution that can help in the meantime until/if Adobe makes your requested enhancement.

Examples:
When I want to test out a series with a new picture at the beginning. I add the new picture into the collection and it is set at the end (picture no.100 for example). I have to scroll all the way to the top with that picture.
When I have 30 new pictures I have that process with 30 pictures!!
The same with a picture, which is st the beginning and I want to sort it at the end (because it's not fresh content anymore, but still should be inside the collection).
As you know, I can decide only to export the top 20 pictures, but then I want to keep all variations inside the collection behind them for other presentation purposes.
Until one year ago there was a trick just to lift and release a picture a bit and then it was put at the very end.
But for unknown reasons Adobe eliminated that possibility :(

Thanks for sharing Benedikt. One thing that might help, short-term, would be to add the photos to the Quick Collection rather than changing the sort order in the existing collection. As you add each photo, it would get added to the end of the Quick Collection, then just reverse the sort order. Your PDF could then be exported from the Quick Collection, but all of the photos would still be in the main collection for future reference too.
