As LR CC is not yet ready for being used in a professional manner, I'd like to migrate my LR CC database back to LR 5.
What is the best approach for doing this?
Please advise.
Thanks.

There is no reverse migration. Hopefully you still have your LR 5.7 catalogs, you can use those to work in 5.7, but you can't go backward with any changes you've made in 6

About the only thing I can think to suggest is that you save metadata to files for all your LR 6-only photos, then open LR5 and import those photos. LR 5 will have all the LR6 adjustments that XMP files hold except ones it doesn't understand like the brush edits and facial recognition. There may be some flags and ratings that don't come across and collection membership is only contains in the LR database.

Thank you both for your replies.
Steve - I'm workig with DNG files. So how can I save my metadata best?
What with changes I made in the book module - are they also lost?

As it seems that I have some issues orther do not report, I think it might be a good idea to re-install Lightroom CC again. Can you please advise what the best approach is without losing pictures and their changes (also in the book module)? Thanks.

If you delete CC, you must do it from within the Adobe Creavite Cloud control center, not from the Control Panel.

Wahatever you decide, MAKE SURE YOU MAKE COPIES OF YOUR CATALOGS PRIOR TO UNINSTALLING, if now making a complete backup of my hard drive prior to proceeding.

I personally would contact Adobe for advice on how to uninstall.

Thanks, Lynn.

It was my hope that I get some advise from Adobe by posting my request here...
Unfortunately no replies so far :-(
