Photoshop: Windows specific issues

Hey.

I have been working as a retoucher for a couple of years and as most of the retouchers (I guess) I have worked on a Mac in Photoshop. But now I've slided over to the 3D...visual effects kind of thing and I now find myself thinking that PC and windows is the new black since the Mac pro has been "expensive" and "slow" for a couple of years.
The transition from Mac to PC has been good, better then I've expected but the thing that bouthers me the most is that Photoshop seems to be poorly written for Windows. So here's a list of things that I think needs some love from the adobe-team:
1. If you select a layer - change the blend mode - and then try to use a shortcut like "b" for brush, nothing will happen. Very disturbing
2. The "file-systemwindow" or what ever you call it (see screenshot) looks like something from the 90's when you use the Batch-command.
3. Using the adjustmentlayer "curves" I used to use the + button to select point on the curve. I don't know if there's any other shortcut for that maybe?
4. This is more of a request to Adobe and Microsoft. Please make it work so that I can preview PSD-files inside windows. Please!
