Since installing Mac OS10.13 High Sierra, my Lightroom CC Metadata Presets are no longer in alphabetical order.  Selecting 'Restore Preset Defaults' fixes the problem temporarily, but the presets appear out of order upon the next launch.

It's already solved in the new Lightroom Classic and will be in Lr 6.13.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Lightroom Forgot the Alphabet.

Hello,

I have a non-CC version of Lightroom 6.12 running on a MacBook Pro.  All was fine with Sierra, but after installing High Sierra, Lightroom is not sorting lists of some presets and templates correctly.  Lightroom has forgotten the alphabet and how to count.  I will attach screenshots below to show you what I mean.

I've tried many things, including uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom and all the presets and nothing has helped.  Both Lightroom and MacOs are up to date.

Here is one interesting thing:  If I create a new preset, say, a new watermark for export, Lightroom will then sort all the watermarks correctly.  But the next time I open Lightroom the presets will be all mixed up again.  Somehow Lightroom is reading the list incorrectly.

Many thanks for your help.

Cheers,
Dave

Here is my list of watermarks.  Note they are out of order.

Here is my list of Metadata copyrights.  Also out of order.

Finally, here is my list of file renaming templates.  Also out of order.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.  I would really like to see this fixed.

Thanks again.

This is fixed in LR Classic 7.0 and will presumably be fixed in LR 6.13, due out Oct 26.
