I have the iOS version of lightroom and when saving images to the camera roll they lose some of the meta data. The main one being the lens model (I have tried with multiple cameras and lenses). This isn't ideal if I want to share those images to Flickr or 500px etc and has been an issue for a long time.
Is this something you are aware of and will you be fixing it?
Thanks

Could you please attach a screenshot where you see the lens model missing in flickr for example.
Do you have "Share with Metadata" enabled within the Lr Mobile settings?

Hi. Yes, all meta data options are ticked. I have tried unticking and ticking again but doesn't change it.
Images attached show original image meta data and of the same image after it has been imported into Lightroom iOS and saved to camera roll.
Hope this helps.
Many thanks.

Where do you see the info where the Lens is missing? What I tried is to share a photo (original size) to Flickr.
Afterwards I downloaded the original via Flickr-bowser to my desktop. Attached is the result with the Lens listed

Hi
I have tried saving to camera roll from the edit screen and also from the grid view and doesn't make a difference.
I have added two photos to Flickr, one has the lens model, the other does not.

I still get the same results if I upload directly to Flickr from within the app.

Which version of Lr Mobile-ios do you have running? Did I get it right that you save to the camera roll first and then share to flickr. Or do you use the flickr-app?

I have 2.4.0. The latest version that now supports raw files. I save to camera roll first but I have meta data apps that also show that the lens model and camera software etc is missing before I have uploaded to Flickr anyway.

When I look at both of your photos I see beside the camera icon "Sony ILCE-7RM2/ FE 35mm F1.4 ZA" listed.
You are referring to the entries when I "Show Exif" , right?
Could you try the following. Save a photo via Lr Mobile to the device camera roll, then send the photo via e-mail to your desktop machine and open it in Lr Desktop. Are you seeing the lens missing there as well?

Yes, lens info is still missing. I can only guess Flickr knows what lens it is based on the focal length.
If I have two identical photos but one has come from LR mobile that one does not show the lens model in every application I can find including the preview app on a MacBook.
I have put the two photos in a Dropbox folder and named them accordingly.

Please take a look at the photos and you will see what I mean.
Thanks

I have also added the same photo after putting it through photoshop express too. This loses some meta data but the main data is there and is not a problem.
If you save all 3 photos and upload them all to http://metapicz.com/ you will see the huge amount of data lost after using LR Mobile.

I touched base with our developers on this and entered an internal bug. Thanks for your help.
